D&D 5E [5E] Interjection Games Ultimate Runesmithing PF to 5e Public Playtest

Hello there, everyone! I'm Brad Crouch, sole proprietor of Interjection Games, and I've finally taken the first step into 5e design with a conversion of my runesmith base class, which I'm sharing with everyone as a public document on Google Drive. Comments are available to all. Let me know what works, and what doesn't work!

Lore

Runesmiths and wizards differ in that wizards draw power as they recall a spell to cast, whereas the runesmith divorces the two in time. The runesmith is a magic battery, and his runes shape that raw magic based on how they are made. This is a slower, more contemplative form of magic that eschews much of the flexibility of the wizard for supreme mastery over raw "stuff", culminating in the ability to create temporary magic items through the use of equipment runes.

I'm still going over this, but have to leave for work.

This is an intriguing concept, and you've obviously put a lot of time and thought into it.

I'm impressed. Limiting inscriptions to only non-magical items and tools the runesmith is personally proficient with is a nice spin, carving out a niche not occupied by other classes.

Each of the specializations look to be well-constructed.

I'm looking forward to exploring the runes themselves when I get home from work.

I'm a little worried about the Campaigner, if only because it's so random and weird, but that was the archetype I made specifically for a fan when the PFRPG version was made, so I had to see it through. Any thoughts on that in particular is appreciated!
