D&D 5E 5e Monsters....What should they look like?

I like having as much combat info as I can get in the stat block so I don't have to be cross-referencing multiple books, but I'd like to also keep the blocks small - about 1/4 page or less so I can have more habitat/ecology info. So, a sort of meld of 4E/2E, favoring 2E presentation.

I also feel that the % carry-this-weapon in the 5E blocks are a lot of wasted space and could be greatly condensed or eliminated.

I would also like to see monster hit points lowered, which in turn means PC attack damage gets chopped down. I don't want to see high level be defined by rolling buckets of damage dice with each attack.

I'm cool with 2E-style fluff with 4E-style stat blocks, so long as the fluff isn't manditory for every single instance of a monster. 4E was really nice because it wouldn't waste a page for every single variation of the same bloody thing. Introduce an overall species with a 2E-style block, then go to town with variations that only have small paragraphs to explain the differences.
