D&D 5E 5E Novels?

What recent~ish books are not set in FR? I am FR'ed out when it comes to my trashy ~ brain switched off ~ de-stress D&D novel reading. I love all the awesome complex & gritty fantasy that is out there, but sometime you just want a mental break!

None as far I know. Sorry! :)

Going back a few more years, we had books in Nerath, and a few other settings in The Abyssal Plague. That storyline would seem to end all the non-Realms books.

Cheers!

There will be no more books about a certain well-known sage. My 4E group killed Elminster.
LOL!

This reminds me of the old days in the Dragon magazine when someone wrote in asking for how much XP his 100th(?) level character got for destroying all of Greyhawk. He expected everyone else to stop playing the setting, as it no longer existed. For quite some time after, a few DMs with high level campaigns used this Player's character as the Villain and made restoring the world of Greyhawk as the goal of their campaign. They then wrote to the Dragon to let everyone know that the world has been saved, and that the villainous PC met a gruesome end =)
