Rabbit fishes out the pendant and dangles it in front of 6 Eagle's face.

[sblock=Magari]

"Do you remember this? Do you remember them taking it from you?"

[/sblock]

[sblock=OOC]
Gotta run, please roll a Heal check for me to try and diagnose what made him like this.
[/sblock]

6 Eagle look at his brother with distant eyes.

[sblock=Magari]
-''The Shadow Man. He brings the end. He is the End!'' he says, in trance. Then he returns to the present moment.

-''Ooh, Look at the pretty necklace. So pretty.''
[/sblock]

[sblock=Arcana]Knowing that he left for an astral Journey (The shifting Seas), you suspect (and hope) that his higher conscience remained trapped somehwere along the way in some plane or demi plane. You hope this is correct, because it would mean that he can be 'fixed' and rejoined with his conscience.[/sblock]

Mri'Thas nods silently at the mention of the efforts that take to be a wizard "Yours seems like one of the most incredible stories I've ever heard, although I have no doubt you are right and your descriptions are accurate. If such is the scum you still search for, she's not here. T'sir is not that person any more. Her spirit is as free as the wind; I've travelled long at her side, as I trust in your word, trust in mine." explains the wizard.
"Shifting subjects radically, why didn't they wash your head like it seems the have done to them?

[sblock=OOC]Well, I wanted to give the chance to more people to chime in. If there are no more comments:[/sblock]

"Shifting subjects radically, why didn't they wash your head like it seems the have done to them?

-''They didn't 'wash' anyone's head. These two were already in that state when they were brought in.'' he says, indicating 6 Eagle and the other slave, a halfling woman. ''By the sound of it, they were specifically interested in finding just where they had been and what put them in that state. Krestos did some ritual magic, trying to find out where was their soul or some such non-sense. I am of the warrior caste, I didn't quite follow everything he was doing but it looked like he was trying to find an arcane signature to discover who or what had put these slaves in their current state.''

[sblock=OOC]Any more questions and do you free the Githyanki from his chains?[/sblock]

"I see. I trust you'll not try to kill T'sir when I let you loose. I would break my heart to see a brother so blind as to attack my comrade; and I'll have no choice but to fight you." Explains Mri'Thas, making sure his kin got the message before releasing him.

[sblock=Shifting Seas]
Rabbit actually wouldn't know that 6 Eagle had left for an "astral journey" - he believes that the "Shifting Seas" means the Transitive Isles (an actual sea where the islands shift around). It's certainly possible that he's wrong, but that's where I was going when I wrote the backstory.

So I'm going to interpret it as the other way around - he recognizes in 6 Eagle the signs of someone whose soul is missing, and realizes from that that he's gone on an astral journey. That ok?
[/sblock]

7 Rabbit murmers sadly to himself, still gazing into his brothers eyes. As he muses, his words gain conviction, ending with a violent oath.

[sblock=Magari]

"Oh, my poor brother. Your eyes are empty. Where is the soul behind them? Have you been following the condor's flight? Why? You are no mystic, no priest. You were - you are a warrior! I swear I will find what distant sky you visited and bring your soul back to join your heart!"

[/sblock]

He wheels to face the githyanki prisoner, one hand still on 6 Eagle's arm. "What did you just say?" he demands. "Something about a ritual and a soul?"

I'll assume that means the gith doesn't repeat himself, but to keep things moving I'll also assume Mri'Thas or somebody fills him in.
[/sblock]

Rabbit turns back to 6 Eagle. "Ah! Good idea - your mage was quite right, these two have been lost on a spiritual journey, and it should be possible for us to trace that journey to wherever they are now. Or at least where their journey began." He examines both 6 Eagle and the halfling carefully.

[sblock=Arcana]
Arcana (1d20+9=26, 1d20+9=29)

Woo! 26 to find an arcane signature on 6 Eagle, 29 on the halfling!

Man, if somebody can Aid Another, I can get that second roll up to DC 30! Not sure if that's allowed post-facto, though.
[/sblock]

As he prods at them, he offhandedly asks, "By the way, has anyone ever heard of the 'Shadow Man'?"

No, that's not the end of the adventure, But you have amassed enough XP that's it worthwile to give it, most of you will pass a level.

Just noticed this - are you I'm just a couple of XP short for level 4. Is it ok if I spend a DM credit to bump myself up? (Once garyh certifies that XP, that is.)

[sblock=XP]Just like Voda Vosa, it seems to me that you forgot the XP I gave after the first fight. You know, the XP that allowed Soldier to reach level 3?

http://www.enworld.org/forum/living-4th-edition/265423-6-eagle-down-judge-garyh-10.html#post4959466

You got 889 XP from that huge fight + skill challenge.
[/sblock]

[sblock=Levelling up]Everyone but Soldier (who already leveled in the first fight) should be levelling up. I see Kama'Zer is done. How about the rest of you?[/sblock]

As Mri'Thas and Par'Dhun talk, Ts'iri starts to get a slight grimace on her face and holds her hand up to her brow. Her forehead starts glowing red and it's getting brighter by the moment. Suddenly a red glowing third eye open in the middle of her forehead.

A voice comes out of Ts'iri that isn't her own. It's deeper and has an odd echoing quality to it. "Par'Dhun, why did you have to be here? Did that old bastard of a father finally die yet or is he even too stubborn for that? Damn and I was having such a good nap too."

Ts'iri seems as confused as anyone about what was happening. "All of you are really idiots. Why go to so much trouble chasing me? I left this shell before it ever got on that boat. Killing me would only kill this girl and I'd start my second life. Just don't die on me too soon kid. I don't want to have to start working any sooner than I have to."
