will try to catch up on the thread later, but sara's standard tactic for those with reach is to delay until they take the first jab and then step in for a full attack. with 15 foot reach this tactic is less effective. :\ She has 1d6 sneak attack now if she can get a flank, and enough tumble (plus the twd feat) to fight defensively for a +4 increase to AC in exchange for the -4 attack.

Round 0
Genji Tillwarra shouts out instructions to his men, telling them to be prepared to all fire at a single target on his command.

The merfolk bard begins to sing, inspiring you all as described above.

From far away, uou here some noises which might be spellcasting.

Round 1
Iggy casts haste, speeding up all of the party members except himself, and also enhancing a stray merman.

"And... Fire!" yells Genji. 40 crossbow bolts fly through the water... most go astray in the wet, and of the few remaining only two penetrate the Ogre's hide. OGre 1 takes 6 damage.

OOC: How many ogres do we see, and how far away are they? I also meant to ask about light. Iggy will cast a light spell before combat if appropriate.

The Ogres are currently 50' away, there are more than 6 of them, you can't be sure exactly how many in the murk.
 


For now, Zack is only eyeing the approaching enemies.

OoC: Full Defense for now, unless there's somebody within 30ft who doesn't have a couple of friends who'd take a swipe at Zack, then engage enemey.
 

Round 1, Continued
Zack remains on the defensive.

A sickly green beam lances toward the merfolk, and strikes one of them dealing 5 damage.

Sara also remains on the defensive.

Ducane, standing beside Zack and Sara at the front of the party (on one end of the Merfolk's line of battle) also is ready to defend.

The Ogres swim forward, stabbing at the Merfolk. It appears there are 8 of them, of which 5 hit the Merfolk they are targeting. Two merfolk are rendered helpless by the damage they recieve, the other take 10, 8, and 12 damage respectively.

Charlarn fires at the nearest Ogre, who is 25 feet away from him. Due to the intervening water, the attack suffers a -10 penalty and misses by a solid margin. Charlarn reloads.

There are more spellcasting noises in the distance, and you feel a disruptive wave of magic pass over you. The party has been hit with an area of effect dispell magic spell.

I believe each of you currently has the following spells in effect: Water Breathing (level 3); Haste (Level 3); Bless (Level 1). Please list any additional spells that I have missed.
 

Round 1 Concludes
Water Breathing is dispelled from Sara and Zack.
Bless is Dispelled from Ducane and Charlarn.

Unless Iggy has some other spell upon him, nothing is dispelled from Iggy. (And Iggy didn't have haste, contrary to my post above.)
