OOC 1: Iggy was slightly away from the group. But still w/in the cone of cold? Anyway, most important reflex save of his life 16+6=22! My initiative roll is also quite important - here goes: 13+3=16. not bad, but not good enough...
Iggy is not caught completely off guard, suspecting danger would be present. He manages to crouch in the corner and avoid the brunt of the frost. Before he can react again, the ogre is gone. With the group weakened, Iggy figures the ogre will press the attack, thus he whips his hands towards the party, casting haste on whomever is still active. (if nothing else, adding +1 to their reflex save :\ )
OOC 2: HPs 12 of 31.
spells prepared:
Level 0 (4+1 div): detect magic(D), light(x2), message(x2)
Level 1 (3+1 int+1 div): True Strike(D), magic missile(x4)
Level 2 (3+1 int+1 div): detect invisibility(D), invisibility, scorching ray(x3)
Level 3 (2+1 int+1 div): Clairaudience/Clairvoyance(D), Haste(x2), Water Breathing
OOC3: I'd just like to say that TPKs do happen, and if it does, I'll still be joining up on the next adventure Patlin proposes!

ooc: The cone of cold is a 60' cone, and the Ogre Mage was standing in the j14/l15 area when he launched it. While getting off to one side was a good idea, the table on page 307 of the DMG seems to indicate he can catch everyone in the cone.
I had half considered giving opale a cover bonus to reflex save since she's directly behind Charlarn, but then rejected the idea. I'm again tempted based on the save having been within 1 point of success. Anyone object to calling it 3/4 damage rather than full or half under this circumstance? That would put Opale at -8 hp.
I still think you all can pull this out, but an Ogre Mage's spell like abilities give it a heck of an opening move!

Charlarn's Reflex Save (1d20+6=8)Charlarn is staggered until the Hammer's spell steadies him a bit. Thinking quickly he realizes that only the combined efforts of two healers is likely to allow the group to recover from this situation. He spontaneously casts Spiritual Hammer as Cure Moderate Wounds (2d8+4=12) and revives his fellow Cleric.
(NPC'd in order to get things moving, hope that's OK.)

That's perfectly likely. And to think, I even put that last attribute point into wisdom.
Planus would love nothing more, but I fear his -6 hit point total is going to prevent it. Unless leaving him off the map protected him against the cone of cold.
