A.D. (after draconomicon)

OK, with the release of Draconomicon (great book!), it seems possible if not likely that WotC will follow up with other “monster class” type books. What do you think would make the best picks?

I’m all up for seeing a Fey or Giants book.

I thought that fiends and celestials might also make for interesting books, but then they kinda already have their own (BoVD and BoED respectively).

Giants would make a great book, if it was on par with Draconomicon.

I'd be surprised if WotC released anything about Giants or Fey.

I would say that a possible follow-up from the big boys and girls might be on Fiends, but even that is remote.

Of course, there's always the Drow, but I personally think we have enough of those.

I can think of no other single creature-types besides dragons and fiends that would warrant the royal treatment like the Draconomicon.

(Well, there's always Flumphonomicon, I suppose. )

I'd be rather keen on a book for the fey, actually. Moreso than I am for the Draconomicon (just not enough dragons that are going to pop up in my campaigns).

Illithids had the Illithiad, and Wizards certainly isn't above reprinting old material in a new form. For that matter, a book on Illithids may not be so bad, anyway.

Giants really don't quite float my boat, though; not that I'm necessarily adverse to them or using them, just that a book about them really wouldn't interest me.

Drow...woo. Yeah. Could do without that.

Fiends, or angels, both could be a possibility, but with the Book of Exalted Deeds and Vile Darkness, yeah, I agree, not quite needed or necessarily even wanted now.

However, a book on undead in one form or another might be nice. If done right, it could be quite a good book. Then again, the Ravenloft setting already covers that to some degree, and WotC goes a little too glossy with its books at times to suit me. Even the Book of Vile Darkness lacked some necessary grit in my opinion, and undead should have that.

I'd love to see a fey book. Humanoids and or Goblinoids seems a likely choice for WotC based on popularity of use.

I'm not holding my breath for it, but I'd like to see one on aberrations.

Undead would be very nice.

I'd personally like a focus like Paradigm Games and Green Ronin are doing. Werewolves man. And possibly vampires. I want the classics man for monsters. Then we can do Illithids, Giants, Fey, and the rest to their hearts content.

Btw I think a fixed up and revamped BoVD would be "cool." At least just dealing with fiends.
