A Day in the Life of Adventurers (Mista Collins)

Kyna regards the brick that had shattered the window with a raised eyebrow.

"Well, that was unnecessary, now wasn't it?" She remarks to the air as she gracefully rises to her feet. Pushing her mostly empty bowl away, she sighs and moves in the direction of the door.

"A mob, mayhap?" Kyna calmly asks the others peering outside.

"Perhaps," the sorcerer said, rising to his feet, pushing the bowl away unfocusedly. Power seemed to crackle around him as he moved towards the doorway. "Let us hope that they do not mean to cause further disruption."

As you all stand up and take notice of what occured the other patrons in the inn seem to do the same. Old man Pater can be heard mutter under his breath about having to fix the window, his wife and and Kaelys both stop their conversation and seem to wait for the report of what in Aureon's name is going on, and Sigor doesn't seem to care much of what just happened as he sits there with the same somber look on his face.

Peering outside you can see that Markenny Plaza seems to be filling up with a small mob of humans chanting and holding signs. There is nothing to point out the individual who might have thrown the rock, but you can see a small group people who have climbed up a street sign and are trying to tear it down. Some of the other protestors are trying to get them to stop, but to no avail the sign is torn from its post.

The square seems to fill rather quickly as the protestors start to get very vocal, chanting “Open national doors, bring back prisoners of war!” and holding various signs stating the same thing. Many onlookers can be seen from the windows of the towers all along the Plaza. The group of protestors in Markenny Plaza seem to number close to 600 upset individuals.

"I don´t understand what´s going on" says the nameless warforged. And then explains: "None on the persons living here have any power to do what they are asking for. Why are they shouting in this place, and not up there where that powerful live?"

Valahandra blinks for a moment, seeming a bit disoriented for a second, as her posture becomes a bit more relaxed. "Perhaps they are lost" she finaly says after looking at the crowd for a bit.

"Probably because they can't get to that level of the city?" Kyna suggests to the warforged.

"It´s idiotic, then" replies the warforged. "There must be another reason, or it´s just irrational and worse, a waste of resources and effort" ends. His voice shows a slight metallic tone of disdain.

Runila stomps out into the crowd, and finds something sturdy to jump up on to give her a couple more feet of needed height. Still she struggles to see over the group as she peers around looking for a leader to this mindless mob. Not able to find one, she cups her hand around her mouth and shouts, "Hey! Which one of you goons threw a rock through the window here?! THIS IS A RESPECTABLE ESTABLISHMENT!!!"

"We appreciate your plight, but there is NOTHING THAT WE CAN DO!! Please, take your march elsewhere and LEAVE THIS NEIGHBOURHOOD IN PEACE!"
she shouts at the top of her tiny lungs. Taking in a deep breath of air, she readies herself for another shout and then lets loose on the crowd some more. "HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT PEACEFUL RESOLUTIONS AND PRISONER RELEASES WHILE CAUSING DAMAGE TO INNOCENT CIVILIANS?!?!?!!! BY THE LIGHT OF BOLDREI'S HEARTH, LEAVE THIS NEIGHBOURHOOD IN PEACE!" she concludes, hoping that she was heard over the shouting of the crowd.

Valahandra stands behind Runila, unsure if the crowd will disperse peacefully. Definately not something she'd seen in Valenar.

You shouts don't go unnoticed, but no one in the crowd steps forward as the culprit in charge. A few people in the crowd respond with "PEACE? Peace was supposed to occur two years ago! But still we hear no word of the fate of many prisoners of war!"

Plenty of the people in the crowd turn their heads at your shouts and one of the men in the mob walks towards you with a somber look on his face. A large number of the crowd follows behind him as he approaches all of you. His clothes are of fine quality and with him he carries a sense of influence. "We do not mean to cause harm to the local businesses and people, my halfling friend. But when you get a large group of devoted and emotional people together, you cannot control them all. My apologies for disturbing your group's evening, but this must be done. We have been told we are at peace, but many of us are still fighting a battle that should have ended with the signing of the Treaty of Thronehold."

The gentleman stands on the same empty cart you are standing on and turns to address the crowd. "We've been at peace for two years now, everyone says! But for us, there is no peace. The crowd responds with shouts of “No PEACE!” ”Our government, from the crown on down, needs to take responsibility for negotiating an exchange of soldier remains and any living prisoners." The crowd responds with loud cheers. The gentleman continues, "Furthermore, the national armies must open their records so we can find out what happened to the thousands of missing and captured troops. The Treaty of Thronehold was signed exactly 436 days ago. 436 DAYS! For 436 days plenty of us have waited to hear what happened to our loved ones, or friends, and our neighbors." The crowd responds with shouts of "436 DAYS!"

As the crowd continues there chants, the gentleman turns to both Runila and the rest of the group and addresses them. "Look at all these people. Can't you see the pain in their eyes? Their families were sent off to fight a war and plenty of them have not returned. Not a day goes by where they wish they at least knew what happened, that the prisoners of war were let go, or the fallen bodies of many of the soldiers brought home." Pointing towards Mark 24, the man give him a small smile, "Many of us envy the warforged because they don't understand the pain associated with losing family."
