A different kind of arcane trickster

Anyspell (well, the spell you prepare through Anyspell) is not like a regular domain spell. You need a wizard's spellbook (or scroll) to prepare the spell from and it's an arcane spell just like the wizard casts them.

When you cast the arcane spell, it works just as though cast by a wizard of your cleric level except that your Wisdom score sets the save DC (if applicable). ...

I believe, Mystra is a good-aligned deity.
But there are others (of neutral alignment) with the spell domain.

Anyways, I still don't see what you want to achieve with the Assassin route here, except for losing spell levels for some extra special abilities?
Since assassin gives +1d6 sneak attack at level 1, it's a cheap way to get into Arcane Trickster a level earlier. Instead of doing Rogue 3/Wizard 5/Arcane Trickster X, you can do Rogue 1/Wizard 5/Assassin 1/Arcane Trickster X. It's not a bad way to go, if it fits your character concept. In addition to getting into the class a level earlier, you get an extra 1st-level spell or two, death attack, and poison use.

If assassin doesn't fit your character, you could switch it out for a level of guild thief, which also gives the +1d6 sneak attack at 1st level.

I know that... but the comment was about something different. ;)

@Liquidsabre: Hmm... no, it would still be 6th level. Wizard 1/Cleric 5.

However, there would be quite a balance shift, since you lose only 1 cleric caster level and an additional 2 wizard caster levels instead.

So you still have pretty high level spells (cleric) early and a nice foundation of wizard spells in addition.

Not that you really need those, since you have access to them already through Anyspell and you do lose quite a bit compared to straight cleric. ;)

You would have quite a few more spells per day, tho.
Sorcerer is probably better than wizard in addition here.
