A Different Style for 4E Dragonborn and Tieflings...

So, here's my idea...

Rather than the standard model given for 4E Dragonborn and Tieflings, I want to change them up just a little... Make them a little more exotic, and give them just a little more style, at least in my eyes, anyway.

While the game mechanics will stay the same for both races, I'm making the following flavor changes for my 4E campaign setting...

The Dragonborn empire will hail from the far east, and have a decidedly oriental flavor to them... Samurai (fighters) and Ninjas (rogues) and Shugenja (clerics) and Wu-jen (wizards) and all that. I'd like the dragon "half" is going to be more same style as oriental dragons, with the tendril-whiskers and manes and such.

Meanwhile, Tieflings will have a more Arabian Nights middle-eastern feel and will be descended from djinns and efreets, rather than devils.

With that in mind, and if anyone is willing to help out a charity case, I'm looking for illustrations of those two concepts... I have no particular pose or subject -- use whatever suits you -- I'm just looking for a good representation of the two ideas.

Thanks.

when it comes to art I tend towards using minis...

this is what I plan on using for tieflings. Not arabian at all- but cool.

but these guys are cool, and have an arabian feel to them

reaper has ALOT of arab flavored minis- just give them little horns and a skin disorder and you have a tiefling.

the dragonborn are tougher. you may have to wind up using yaun-ti. My first though was Aurak draconians- but there doesn't seem to be many for pictures or pieces around for them.

Arabian flavored Teiflings sound great in my book. Turbans are really usefull for hiding a set of horns. The men of Leng used that trick.

The moon-beasts sail black galleys between the moon and the Dreamlands, trading rubies for slaves and gold at the port of Dylath-Leen. When there, they employ the Men of Leng, disguised in turbans, as their go-betweens and stay hidden below deck, lest the merchants of Dylath-Leen learn the terrible secret of with whom they are dealing

What? No oriental dragonborn love? I guess that leaves it up to me.

Here it be, exotic as I can make it, with made up BS costume. If you can tell me what he's doing you get a cookie.
