A few questions about Adamantite

1. Adamantite armor grants a DR of #\-. So if I am wearing a adamantite fullplate I would have a DR of 3\-. Does that DR affect magic spells, poision gas, or a dragons breath weapon?

It works against anything that DR normally works against. So it wouldn't work atainst magic spells, poison gas, or a dragon's breath weapon, since DR doesn't stop those types of attacks.

Adamantite used to be dark metallic purple IIRC.

From memory in old Gary Gygax modules it was described as a black, dark grey metal sort of like high carbon blued steel with a polished oily finish to it.

I always imagined adamant armor to be golden in appearance, but that's just me.

I always thought black as well. Maybe a poll is in order?

I thought it was like steel but reflections are tinged with green, LOL. Too much watching Excalibur I guess.

If I remember Wolverine's claws were plain metallic looking in X-Men (it's adamantium, not adamantite, I know).
