A few questions about Adamantite

It works against anything that DR normally works against. So it wouldn't work atainst magic spells, poison gas, or a dragon's breath weapon, since DR doesn't stop those types of attacks.

This is technically correct, though it leads to some odd results. For instance, an ice storm spell deals 3d6 bludgeoning and 2d6 cold damage. A barbarian with DR 10 / - takes full damage from this spell, even though 3d6 of the damage is bludgeoning damage.

I prefer to run DR as being resistance to piercing, slashing and bludgeoning damage. That allows it to work against spells like ice storm, etc ... This is contrary to the written rules, but makes more sense to me. I've also considered allowing DR to work against force effects (spiritual weapon, magic missile, etc ...), but I have not tested out that idea, yet.

We have an example of 3.0 adamantine in the Epic Level Handbook. Pg 194 shows an adamantine golem. It looks gray to me. It is described as looking like iron with the unique sheen of adamantine.
