A few questions about the DM's Kit

After saying I wasn't going to get the DM's Kit, I actually bought a discounted one via an online retailer.

Although the book repeats the Rules Compendium in most ways, I do like the advice sections and it does seem to be a good backup rules source for the DM. Plus it has the traps and magic items and such. Not as good a book as it could be... but I'm enjoying reading through it so I guess that's what counts.

The rest of the package is strong. A good looking adventure, a ton of counters, and an actually quite nice DM's Screen... I don't find it flimsy at all, and it has the updated DCs and whatnot.

I would have been unhappy had I paid full price. But it's worth it if you can get a good discount. Kind of like a movie that's good enough for the early bird matinee but not good enough for the full ticket price.

The most curious aspect of the DMs Kit is that it doesn't have any updated monster creation rules within it (minding, neither does Monster Vault). Meaning there is no one solid place where any of these rules are presented now. I cannot help but feel a genuine DMG3 that has these rules is more than warranted.

I believe the adventure starts at level 2 and they will be 4th level at the end. The adventure in the Monster Vault is level 4.

I seriously doubt that we will get a DMG3 . No they will put out some kind of book paperback book that has stuff missing from what's already printed for essentials. It's actually getting a bit tiresome because I rather pay 40 dollars for 1 book that has all the information I need than 60 dollars for 3 books that I have to remember what info is where.

I would like to have something like a "world builder`s guide"

npcs, monsters, traps, hazards, magic items and artifacts and maybe dungeons and encounters all in one book. Nothing to remember where to get which info. ;)
