A few tumble questions

Forgive me, I would imagine this would've been asked before but can't find anything. Here's the questions: Does tumbling up to 20' (as part of a normal movement) mean I can actually move 30' (or more, depending on my movement rate) total, with any 20' segment being "tumbled"? Can I move before and after I tumble? If I attempt to tumble through an area and fail the DC 15 check, can I halt my movement before I tumble, or do I move as I plan before resolving the tumble skill check?, thus provoking any number of attacks of opportunity.

Yup. Or even tumble 10', move 10', tumble 10' more.

Can I move before and after I tumble?

Yup.

If I attempt to tumble through an area and fail the DC 15 check, can I halt my movement before I tumble?

Heh. No.

It's like trying to jump a ten foot wide chasm. You run, you take off, then you roll to see whether you make it.

It's not run, then roll, then decide whether you want to jump or not...
