A Friend In Need

Hi everyone-

I normally wouldn't post this here, but I need to ask anyone who can to take the time to send positive thoughts or prayers out for a friend of mine, Hans Rueffert. He went through surgery for stomach cancer last week, and things looked to be getting better until yesterday, when they found a complication from the surgery. Hans is in very bad pain, and needs whatever thoughts, feelings, and prayers people can send out to him, his wife Amy, and their two kids, Finn & Ella.

Hans & his wife have been using a live journal to keep everyone up to date on his progress, if you'd like to read it to see what kind of guy he is, you can find his unique sense of humor here: http://www.livejournal.com/users/hansrue/

Thanks, I know ENWorld has been there for people when they have needed it in the past, and now it's my turn to ask you to send that support out to a guy that means alot to me.

Thanks,
Rich

CL, please pass along my wishes for health and happiness.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama said:
Before we can generate compassion and love, it is important to have a clear understanding of what we understand compassion and love to be. In simple terms, compassion and love can be defined as positive thoughts and feelings that give rise to such essential things in life as hope, courage, determination, and inner strength. In the Buddhist tradition, compassion and love are seen as two aspects of the same thing: Compassion is the wish for another being to be free from suffering; love is wanting them to have happiness.

Will do, Rich. I glanced at his blog; he looks like good people. If it means anything, I'm pulling for him.

*Reaches way down in the well and pulls up a bucket of prayers and good vibes.*

A lot of ENWorlders kept me in their thoughts while I was recovering, so it's only fair I return the favor. I hope everything turns out well for your friend and his family.
