A future based IK 'jack question (okay, maybe a few questions)...

Mainly make something. DS didn't have a long run, so actual published vehiucles are rather scarse. It does include vehicle creation rules. It isn't much of a stretch to include a cortex after the fact.
 

been thinking about this a bit.
going the multiple 'jack angle control at a distance
keep in mind i dont do hard crunch for items in my own games.
just kinda wing it
but control crystals
material components Diamonds
Feats needed IK Craft wondrous item
spells needed Mending, Telepathy, Message, Tongues
DS spells also needed Electric Scry, Instant Reboot, Power Down

DV 20 for the Craft Wondrous Item to prepare the diamonds.
There is the central crystal for the warcaster, as many as wanter for the 'jack crystals
maximum 'jacks are = to the warcaster level
range is line of sight extending the control and focus range.

what do you think, odds are too powerful for too little.

I like it, although the range would have to be extended, maybe to sensor ranges??

It is a bit powerful for a single character, but backlash for destroyed 'jacks might help balance it out. For mass combat, this would be a great start!
 

I figured line of sight worked good, since i dont know how you do weapons on the 'jacks or not.

But sensor range would be sweet, since the warcaster should get feedback and inputs fm their 'jacks

Got an idea that might combine Line of sight with sensors as a range.

The sensor range might also provide another balance; if sensors are jammed, the 'jacks are on their own until the warcaster can get line of sight to re-establish contact.

In space fighter combat, this will get very evil very fast. :]


Your idea about gaining info might create other 'jack/warcaster options, especially as scouts.
 

chaff vs laser control, ECM vs radio or masers, sandcasters vs lasers as well..hmmm...'jack fighters, another idea on drones but with the grant feats of a seniour warcaster very dangerous none the less...
 

similar to the arcane mechanik and the small clockwork familiars, an extension of that idea.
essentially scout 'jacks (small things) with the range control module allowing for rpv like effects
