For a homebrew adventure I am running tomorrow, my pcs will be going through an abandoned thieves guild base that has been re inhabited by an ogre and some orcs, to retrieve some stolen items for a local lord.
I basically have designed the building to be built for escaping and ambushing, there are a medley of traps and hidden doors throughout the building, as well as some enchantments I have designed to add some unusual gameplay.
The first enchantment(s) I added to the building is that in every doorway whether or not a door is present there is a magical effect that you can still see perfectly into the other side of the doorway and see the room, but you can't see any living creatures on the other side unless you have a way to detect invisibility, so that if you walk through the doorway and turn around you can't see the rest of your party and they can't see you, meaning unless you walk through you won't know if there are enemies on the other side because it looks like an empty room. Does anyone know if there is an actual enchantment/spell like this that I could look up the stats for, or is this something I completely made up on my own? Basically I designed it so the effect is from a 5th level spell that only lasts 10 minutes per caster level but had permanency cast on it by a very high level wizard.
The other enchantment is that in the room containing the final boss of the adventure, the floor, all 4 walls, and the ceiling each have their own gravity, i.e. you can walk on all the walls and ceiling and feel like your not upside down or anything, but other wise gravity works the same, as the enchantment only works on you and whatever you are wearing or holding, so ranged attacks still work normally, I'm pretty sure I saw this spell somewhere though, it was called something like gravity well or gravity room.
