And there are coupons. Coupons! For Chick-Fil-A food! And they're worth more than the $5 you pay for the calendar! Why do you not have one?

Perhaps because I live in the fast food wasteland. New England has McDs, Burger King, and that's about it. An occasional KFC. No Chick-Fil-A, no In-n-Out, no Arbys, no Long John Silver, no nothing. The rest of the nation is a smorgasboard of fast food, while we live in Puritanical simplicity.

But they are darned cool cow superheros.

NO ARBY'S? My god, how do you survive?

No Chick-Fil-A,

There is a Chick-Fil-A in the food court of the Burlington Mall. Which, of course, is not particularly near you. But there's at least the one in Massachusetts.

Interrupting chicken.

which must lend proof to the fact that the EGG came first.

b/c chicken interruptus would have proven F.A.T.A.L. to the species.

Bah.

What about us? We see your American luxuries on television, and we can only dream.

There is no Mooby's, no Krusty Burger here. We have about the same list as KC gave. I've never even heard of Chick-Fil-A, In-n-Out, or Arby's until this thread.

We did have Billy T's Hangi Takeaways, but the last of those closed down about ten years ago.

A Denny's subsidiary called "PoJo's" looked promising, but it lasted less than a year before "Closing for Renovation". After being "Closed for Renovation" for nearly two years, the sign changed to "For Lease".

And the two Americans who opened up a Hoagies here stayed just long enough to get me hooked, and then skipped the country, apparently leaving behind major debts.

It seems any time an interesting new fast food place opens, it just doesn't catch on somehow.

Although Nando's is looking promising so far.

For a while, a local radio station had a fun little jingle for an imported meat snack similar to Chicken McNuggets, only in a circular shape. It went:

(singing)
Kangaroo Balls
Kangaroo Balls
Kangaroo Balls
The great taste from down under.

So New Zealand doesn't have any local fast food? I'm actually jealous. America has become horribly homogenized; the east coast looks like the west coast looks like the midwest. It's very frustrating if you travel, because you never discover anything new.

I noticed that when I moved out here. No Godfather's Pizza, no Fazoli's, heck, I'd even be happy to see a Hot n' Now. And where are all the Country Kitchens and Perkins?

I swear, I only go home to Wisconsin to eat.
