Also, something I'm more excited about, the live-action Cutie Honey movie! Check out the trailer. The redesign of the costume is pretty cool, too.

Cutie Honey looks FUN. I read in Anime Insider that they are making using 'live action animation,' meaning they're having the actors pose in one position, taking a shot, then moving a little more, taking another shot, and so on. The anime style action sequence in the trailer has great energy. It'll be interesting to see how it turns out.

Depends on how you look at it. The Matrix films were still thier own films in the end, while if you're actually getting a "Live Action Anime" movie, its just...different.

But look how interchangeable the live action Matrix films are with the Animatrix.

The cast Here is a pic the cast and you can tell which one is Akira and the other Ryo. Also I look at my copies of the two store anime version of Devilman it says they are both 55 minutes long, I might be able to see doing both volume 1 and 2 into a 2 hour film.

Hmm. There is a live-action You're Under Arrest, Jackie Chan's City Hunter, and ... oh, one or two more I'm sure.

There's a live action version of Perfect Blue. I wonder if the sex scenes are as graphic as the original.
