my mom's cat died a couple days ago. he hated me, but i still cried a bit when i found out. poor old fella was 13, we've had our problems but i've known him a good long time.
 

My condolences as well.

blackshirt, be glad that you had your dog for nine years. You had a friend who held you in awe, and had a wonderful sense of fun. Try to remember Murphy's life, not his death.

Actually, I think that is how I'd prefer to remember her. :)

Dogs are innocents. I doubt she knew what was going on. Not really. It was another chance to go out with someone she loved. Why not be happy?

For her it was a sharp jab, then sleep. Then...

Any sadness she felt was because daddy was sad. With a very small child it's better that way.
