I have no interest in one big book, it'd just be too unwieldy. And the binder thing didn't do it for me in 2e and still wouldn't. Li Shenron's ideas have some merit, though I'm undecided on whether or not it'd be enough to get me to buy the stuff again.
3.5 updates to the critters in Monsters of Faerun and other FR books are already available in the web enhancement to the Player's Guide to Faerûn.

Edit: Currently, those links don't seem to be working for some reason. For the MM2 and FF material, go to WotC's website, then to D&D, to Game Rules, and click on D&D v.3.5 Update Booklet. For the FR beasties, go to the Downloads section, then to the Web Enhancement archive.
