I have no interest in one big book, it'd just be too unwieldy. And the binder thing didn't do it for me in 2e and still wouldn't. Li Shenron's ideas have some merit, though I'm undecided on whether or not it'd be enough to get me to buy the stuff again.

...while Monsters of Faerun is getting a lot of it's besties updated in the new FR sourcebook.

3.5 updates to the critters in Monsters of Faerun and other FR books are already available in the web enhancement to the Player's Guide to Faerûn.

Yup - I would definitely buy it. There is nothing like a definitive tome that brings together all the years of sprawling monster entries.

I agree, except that there's no "creatures by CR" chart, which bothers me.

I love everything else about that book (I guess I also wish it were updated to 3.5) but not being able to easily find a bunch of Iron Kingdoms creatures in the CR range I am looking for at a glance is annoying.

that's not a book, silly, that's the Creature Catalog forums. as for the CC website itself (when/if it ever does return), there is sort of a "by-CR" chart - the page can be sorted that way, at least.

I would much prefer some sort of database of all those creatures. That way you could search by type, cr, alphabetical order, or any number of variables (AC, HD, Eberron, Forgotten Realms, Uniques, Rares, Commons, etc..).

So, if WOTC brought the MM's up to 3.5 and smooshed them together into one book and maybe added the beasties from Dungeon and Dragon Mags as well as the FR and other D&D books, would you buy that bad boy?

Damn straight. I don't even own the MM2 or FF.
