A new Diabolist Prestige Class and new a name for Sorcerers

I have looked at a few D&D roleplaying sources and I have yet to find a Diabolist class or prestige class that I consider paticularly powerful or frightning (and I'm not talking about Blackguard, I don't want an evil character to learn how to wear armor and use a battleaxe just to become a better Diabolist. Besides, Blackguard is going to be an Epic prestige class.). Instead I propose a new prestige class, the Sorceror. What do you call the core Sorceror class now you say, there are multiple choices, epingon (if that's the proper spelling) and Theurgist come to mind.

Close, though I think you've conflated the Germanic and Latin roots.

It's spelled p-e-n-g-u-i-n.

Hope that helps, -- N

Portals & Planes (FFG, $25), p. 17: Keeper of Forbidden Lord. The 10 lvl full-spellcasting-advancement PrC is for people who want to delve into black magic and traffic with demons and devils. These guys make ideal cultists, evil wizards, and power-hungry spellcasters.

As they gain levels they get better and better at bargaining with evil outsiders, getting a bonus to charisma-based skills for them and getting to choose from six different diabolic boons (which may grant a fiendish servant, bonus spells, more hit points, and the like.) Meanwhile, they suffer the mark of heresy -- physical and spiritual degredation that results from their exposure to the profane. These affect game mechanics and provide great flavor.

I have an NPC who is a keeper of forbidden lore, and I really like the class.

I was thinking about giving the class new spells, such as spirit rack, command spells, and hellfire. I’d also give them bonuses to spells with the Evil descriptor as well as dark powers (I can't think of any names for them yet).
