That Dana has been suffering from Lung Cancer.

The problem, she does or has never smoke a cig.

It has been caught in the early stages, and everything looks to be good. She is responding well to the treatments.

My step-uncle is dying from prostate cancer since they didn't catch it in time. The cancer spread through the rest of his body. To make matters worse, my favorite uncle is going in for a prostate cancer exam tomorrow after they found blood in his urine and stool samples. Hopefully, he doesn't have it since the rest of his body is falling apart. He received a new knee earlier this year and needs a new one plus his arthritis is so bad that his fingers are gnarled.

My mother went in last month for a CT Scan but they didn't find any signs of cancer. She is one of those rare persons who's white blood count is a bit higher than normal.

Though certainly one of the most pernicious, smoking is not the only source of lung cancer. The late, great Warren Zevon died of mesothelioma, a rare and inoperable lung cancer connected to asbestos exposure.

I hope she doesn't have that, and wish her the best.
