A PrC for the Warlock

At higher levels (once you have Warlock 12) Blood Magus is really handy. The ability to scribe scrolls and make potions in yourself basically gives you spells. I'd beg the DM for a ruling that lets you make 1000GP of stuff a day so you can reasonably "recharge" your "spells".

Of course you could just take the feats, but it isn't anywhere near as cool. And slightly less useful...

This works better on a built Warlock at level 15 or so. The feat requirements make the warlock sub-optimal levels 9-12....

Right now I am playing a Warlock that is still in the low levels. I was wondering if there is a good PrC for him. I checked out all the ones in the Complete books and the only one that seems like a good fit is the Blood Magus but most of his abilities are useless for the Warlock. Is there a good PrC out there that I am just not seeing?

If you're playing a good aligned Warlock (CG) decended from fey bloodlines rather than than fiend bloodlines then Sentinal of Bhari(sp?) from BoED works Ok. Make sure to check and see if your DM will allow you to use invocations in Bear form. The Prc class entry says you can speak normaly, but makes no mention of whether or not you are able to make somatic gestures.;)

Just play Warlock 1st thru 20th.

While that's an option, it's an unpalatable one. Crappy DR and crappy "fast healing once/day" aren't really good enough to stay in the class if you have anything else you can go into after about 12th level.

Isn't there a Harm invocation? And isn't there a feat somewhere that lets you benefit from a Harm spell targeted at you; Tomb-Tainted Soul or some such? Hmm.... Of course, then you can't be Good....

I'm planning to just play a warlock straight to 20th level. I'll take the crappy fast heal and DR. Or, I'll make up my own prestige class if I think my character is going a different direction.

I'm playing a CG warlock, and I play it as my character strongly and persistantly avoiding the easy path to evil. Although he has fiendish bloodlines, this is a story of a person staying good through choice and sheer force of will. He will "corrput" his heritage and legacy to good.
