A Problem of Nobility or Things that go Bump in the Night (Covaithe Judging)

Grim calls out "Raiyek, stay put! I'm gonna need a little help here!"

[sblock=ooc]
I'll be at 10/30 hp at the start of my turn, and I would love an extra heal to free me up to nail this dragon hard.[/sblock]

While battered by Georg's thunder, Raiyek takes a lungful of 'fresh' air and nods his thanks to the wizard. "Now, we fight! Palladys, protect us in this battle." The elven paladin lashes out with his sword, blade and eyes glowing with golden light once again. "Dragonborn, fight me!"
[sblock=ooc]I'm back! I had a wonderful time, but it is nice to be back. Thanks for taking care of Raiyek while I was away, guys, and for keeping this going.

So, a dragon, huh? Can we tell whether it's a mature dragon or a wyrmling? In any case, let's one-up the MMC and get us a dragon head to hang in the tavern

Minor: Divine Challenge dragonborn 2
Move: sub for minor, use Channel Divinity: Divine Mettle to grant Grim a save vs. ongoing damage with a +2 bonus. Sorry Tinwe, have to be adjacent to use Lay on Hands, and I don't particularly feel like going for a dive again ;) Hopefully we can stop the ongoing damage before it hits, though.
Standard: Holy Strike vs. dragonborn 2: Crit! for 16 radiant damage. Naturally rolled max damage to boot!
With the extra damage from the "elves hate muck" feature, that's eleventy billion damage ;)[/sblock]

welcome back LS. I think we're all back now with the exception of N3Day, who has left us apparently.

Sorry about Raiyek almost drowning in sewage. I felt terrible. We had a plan to get him out. If we survive this encounter Kruk is going to dive head first into the sewage as an act of brotherhood and stupidity.

Grim, don't forget to add the +3 to your damage roll for your AP attack if it hit. You're in the presence of Xoc.

I noted below the roll that I had forgotten to add it to the roll itself.
The bonus is actually +4- it's 2 + 1/2 lvl + 2 from the Improved Resources feat.[/sblock]

Kruk, seeing the dire situation unfold, moves in and attacks the dragon. The sewage is up to the dwarf's waist as he drops into the muck"I hold no respect for black dragons and I will enjoy killing my first one!" He swings his axe, the blow connecting solidly with the dragon.

Kruk is in a fighting frenzy now after drawing blood from the dragon, swings his axe again and again finds the underbelly of the creature.

As Kruk hacks at the dragon, he thinks of an idea and yells out to Georg, "Can you move that ball of fire over the dragonborn on the floating keg. Maybe that'll get him to move." And then to the dragon. "You bleed now sewer dweller... You're not as invinsible as you thought!"

Georg is taken aback by the appearance of the dragon, which seems at home in this hazardous environment. He concentrates to maintain his ball of flame before moving in carefully next to Kruk. He slams his staff into the floor in an attempt to move their enemies away and his ally out of the waters.

*You forgot Kruk here Vs Kruk (1d20+4=11), but you missed him too.

Xoc's screams in loudly as Georg's attack reaks havoc on the foes in multiple ways. Inspired, Xoc acts quickly by running to the aide of the battered bugbear. "Grim, stand tall my friend, we need your blade if we're going to win this fight." A surge of power races through Grim's veins, as Xoc applies healing to Grim's wounds. Power surges through Grims viens. He grips his twin bastard swords tightly, ready to pounce on his next foe. "Jump now and help Raiyek with that dragonborn to the south. We need to elimininate the dragon's henchmen! I'll stay here and support Kruk if the dragon comes back this way."

Carolina gets a running start and attempts to clear the river of muck in front of her. Unfortunately, fate has other plans for the halfling.

Welcome back, too bad IC didn't have a better welcome back gift for you ;)

Grim steadies himself and turns towards the dragonborn Raiyek has engaged. "Stick to the plan.. clear your head."

The dragon is burned by the sphere, then moves towards the dragonborn to the south. He stands behind the creature and unleashes a torrent of acid upon the dragonborn, Raiyek and Kruk. The dragonborn is unaffected by the acid, shaking off the substance, but the other two aren't so lucky, especially Grim.

The dragonborn laughs at Raiyek and Grim's troubles, launching into a flurry of strike against the Paladin, but even with the acid distracting Raiyek, only one blow goes through. The other dragon abandons his position in the water, moving onto the land to the south and stepping next to Grim and stabbing the bugbear with his longsword.

The dragon smiles cruelly, "I warned you fool!" it calls out.

Grim, ignore that last attack, you're at 0 hp and dying, forgot that in 4e you drop once you're at 0. The DB1 wouldn't expect you to be a threat, so he wouldn't spend his AP hitting you (otherwise it'd be a Coup-de-Grace and crit you).
