The spell description of "entangle" (PHB 227) states:
"Grasses, weeds, bushes and even trees wrap, twist and entwine about creatures in the area or those that enter the area, holding them fast and causing them to be entangled...."
The description of the "entangled" condition (PHB 308) states:
"Being entangled impedes movement bot does not entirely prevent it unless the bonds are anchored to an immobile object or tethered by an opposing force...."
Does this mean that a creature that fails its save vs. the Entangle spell is rendered immobile or is it just reduced to half speed?
Later in the entangle spell there is the following sentence:
"The creature can break free and move half its normal movement speed by using a full-round action to make a DC 20 strength check or a DC 20 escape artist check."
Does this mean
A: If the check succeeds, the creature is no longer entangled and can move up to half its movement speed in the same round
b: If the check succeeds the creature is no longer entangled and can move at half its normal movement speed in the next round (unless it fails the save and is re-entangled)
