(in the case of vampire) to use the energy drain ability, you have to hit with a natural weapon, but you can only do it once per round. meaning, you have to declare which attack (if your a vampire monk flurrying) has the energy drain attached (reference: the half elf cutie in the MM).

to use the stunning fist feat, you must declare use of it and hit with an unarmed strike.
