A Review of 6E

Is it still cross-system compatable with Vampire: The Sorrow and Werewolf: The Pity? Considering Congress outlawed Mage: Unrelenting Unhappiness several years ago...

And does 6E even mention the fiasco of the Crimes Against Humanity Trials of Mark Ren*Hagan, Gary Gygax, Ed Greenwood and Richard Garfield?

You might be intersted in learning that, concurrent with the new holo-format release of Peter Jackson's movies, WotC is releasing the Middle Earth Campaign Setting for 6e, but it's just a one-off product.
I actually prefer the Lucas directed versions over Jackson's hack job. Lucas Jnr has proven that he (if anyone) can direct/write the fourth Star Wars trilogy inmsho.

Any news on the Star Wars(TM) rpg licensing? My group still plays the Mongoose version, but I prefer the GR version myself (based as it is on WFRP 2.1).

Okay...couple quick questions...

1. Are you still required to buy all 47 of R.A. Salvatore's Dark Elf Chronicles novels to assemble the registration code to actually open the program???

2. If so, does anyone know where I can find set #33-B?? You know, the one titled Drizzt in Love. Its where Artemis finally confesses his true feelings and they :):):):) on the Assassin's deathbed. Anyone?

3. I heard that White Wolf is finally releasing Wraith: Hey, You're Dead!. Do we know if it or the much anticipated Changeling: The Only Digital Source Book We've Created With Color Photos will be compatible?? Has anyone heard any rumors?

Thanks for the prompt responses...

Couple more questions I just remembered....

1. Is the Oghaelome (1/4 Ogre...1/4 Halfling...1/4 Elf...1/4 Gnome) still a Player Race? Rumors abound that its a Prestigious Imaginary Munchkin Race now...and only accessible if you find 7 contradictions within the program??

2. Is it true Mordenkainen himself is re-born into Eberron as the first child produced by a Warforged (with the Female Reproduction Template) and a Kalashtar-Half Drow?

Ok...I think that's really it this time. :D

Just because the sequels weren't as bad as the prequels doesn't mean that they were good. The digital Mark Hamil and Harrison Ford in Episode VII were only a few steps removed from Jar-Jar Binks in my book.

No clue. The lawyers are still sorting out who owns the license after the latest round of mergers and acquisitions, and it's even money that Microsoft/Hasbro or EA will buy whoever ends up with it anyway.

I like more modern franchises for my sci-fi games; I mean, what's up with people (or aliens) who have faster than light travel, but don't have high-bandwidth wireless access to a planetary information network. I mean, we've got that now anywhere on the planet or in low orbit.

You guys are so last Millenium ever since True20 v5 came packaged with the CerebumDirect VR interface anyone who wants a real immersive roleplaying experience has uploaded their conciousness to the TrueWorlds Portal - comeon they've even perfected the ofalctory stimulators...

Unfortunately, they are having trouble with the SOAP feature so the VR smells worse than GEN CON

Actually, according to the FAQ that just downloaded to my memory, that GEN CON smell was intentional.

Oh, and he's got my vote too!

Does anyone know when will the changes will be reflected in the SDR4?

The Rand(9671406556917033397649408) system still has strong support from 6th party publishers, but getting any of their work out here in the Oort stations costs nearly 6.2 billion credits in bandwidth charges (and don't get me started on intrasystem customs).

Did they clarify the rules on what bonuses stack, give diminishing returns, get along but don't have to like it, coincide and overlap? It's still silly from a flavor standpoint that Nifty Enhanced Improvements to Range for projectiles don't give diminishing returns when fired from ranged weapons with Psycho-magical Energy Bonuses to damage, even if it does make things go faster around the holomap (I really have to recomend the new 4D Chessex holomaps, by the way. Mine arrived last Goresday and it's so much better than my old 3D version).

Sounds like 6.0 is going to be a disappointment for me. Oh well... at least I can still look forward to Duke Nukem Forever.

Actually, I thought the SDR^4 was discontinued when MicroWizs of the Coast released version 6.66 right after the great monopolistic merger. So, I doubt the changes will be reflected.

On another number-related note...was anyone keeping track of the number of times Diaglo has rolled over in his cryogenic freezer? There's a rumor about the four horsemen showing up right as he completes his 666th rotation....
