A second chance at a Second Life?

Please do. In any case, we're soon playing a one-shot that jumps to a slightly scaled up model of floorplan. I'll post a pic of the game in session with the minis that come up to the player's knees.... :)

Here's the pic as promised.

We've just started into a new scenario in our 4th edition game, should anyone be interested in the medium of D&D in Second Life.

If you've never been to Second Life and are interested in learning more about it, take a look at https://secure-web11.secondlife.com/ for the official guide, or email me at willie.walsh at oceanfree.net for specific info on getting into the place for the first time to join in the D&D games.

Has anyone given the new beta a try? The Viewer 2 Beta has an option called "shared media" which allows surfaces to be used to show web-based media; whiteboards, chat rooms, online games, and the like.

It's been awhile since I explored Second Life, but I might give it another go.

I gave Second Life a try, and after a few days of utter frustration, had no idea what I was doing, where I was going or how to undo the mess I made with my avatar. It is an extremely frustrating interface. Flying around the tutorial area is pretty neat, tho.
