I come here for an argument - you are merely contradicting me!

Seriously, I love the arguments of EN World. A big part of why I hang here. No rules to discourage good arguments, please!

That said, an argument becomes much more interesting if it contains proposed solutions. But putting in unrelated "creative" work, detailing the thread, undoubtedly spawning sub-arguments of their own about the value of this creative work - no thank you.

Well at least it spawned a very funny thread, manatees and all.

I apparently lose at internet communication.

My point was not to have it be an enforced rule but really in the end to just have people think about how much positive versus negative stuff they post that's all.

Now unleash the flaming manatees into the lava of cake or death or save!

Does posting bad ideas count as "positive" or "negative"?

Does slaying a bad idea count as "negative", or is it more like murdering a demon (which is often thought of as "good")?

Bad ideas = negative
Slaying = negative (in general)

Well... I would think it's like a double negative so it turns into a positive

It depends upon your alignment.

If you are Evil, posting a bad idea is a positive for you.
Then, when your idea is murdered by a Good post, everybody levels up!
