A surreal moment I had to share

Does anyone remember the computer game Heratic where you could turn into a chicken with a special egg? That was a way fun game. You could see a little beak in front of you, you were really small, if you jumped you went a long way, and you could annoy the heck out of other people.

"Why am I losing health? I can't see anything attacking me!"

Chicken: "Bwak! You turned me into barnyard fowl! Feel the wrath of the angry chicken!"

"Dang it it's a freaking chicken!"

I apologise to all readers of this topic for being the straight man for that line and the awful jokes that followed.

Ghostly chickens it is Wednesday then...

You all laugh now... But I'm seriously considering a PbP Based on the more absured concepts we all have thought up. case in point. Chicken swarm with the infernal template. Mwahahaha! :]

I hope it's all it's cracked up to be.

Dangerous thinng, that chicken swarm. The enhanced version should be of roosters - make one of your silly jokes in its earshot, and you feel cocksure.

Yeah, Heretic. It was a weapon, you turned others into chicken. The "Morph Ovum" that allowed to practice "gallinamorphosis".

In the sequel/companion games Hexen, you had the Porkelator instead, turned your enemies into pigs.

Both were real fun.

Would infernal chickens lay deviled eggs?

For your enjoyment, I present An Artillery Scene, excerpted from The Goon Show, written by Spike Milligan.

The scene: Unknown. The characters: Unknown. I'll assume it's Seagoon and Major Bloodnok.

...
*Distant sound of artillery firing*
Seagoon: Duck!
*Buck-awk-awk-awk!*
Bloodnok: That's no duck, that's a chicken.
S: The're firing hens at us!
B: A fowl trick.
S: Egg-zactly.
Eccles: Stop cracking yolks!
...

Quoted from memory, so excuse any inaccuracies. (It's pretty good for concentrated chickenpun, though.)

They also had a naval battle in sailing prisons:

Grytpype: Moriarty! Load another salvo of turkeys - with the parson's nose upwards!
Moriarty: Sapristi! With the parson's nose upwards? If you hit him with those, he'll go to the bottom!

...

Hey, I don't make this stuff up.
