a variation of Green Lantern

For the DC Heroes rpg, for the Marvel comics rpg, or for a d20 general rpg, can I name my character Blue Blaster, Blue Beam, or Blue Lantern as a character who is a variation of Green Lantern?

Wow, I would never say Stormwatch parallels the Justice League, other than being groups of tough heroes. Stormwatch is incredibly different.

It's Warren Ellis. He produces parodies of the Justice League like other men produce carbon dioxide.

Note that the 'Lamplighter' was in the Wildstorm universe, which is a different company than DC, so as far as I know there hasn't been any variant lantern colours in DC.

Awesome and thanks. But what can my character be called--Lamplighter or Blue Lantern and does Lamplighter use blue-light energy? Which dimension of existence does Lamplighter or my Blue Lantern character exist in? And for which rpg can Lamplighter or my Blue Lantern character be used in--the Marvel rpg world dimension, the DC world dimension, or ?.

Yes, that I know, and that means yellow is opposed and oppostie to green and red is the opposite and opposed to blue for the purpose of the Green Lantern variations? I hope so because I knew or I suspected there has to be something about why I like blue and I don't like red.

You seem to be looking for definite answers where none exist. WHy not make it up for yourself?

Colors aren't really opposites; they exist in a spectrum, and human vision is tricolor, not two. The original Green Lantern had a magical chinese lantern which could not affect wood (perhaps because wood opposes metal in some Asian versions of alchemy based on five elements, fire, water, earth, wood, and water). The new Silver Age Green Lantern got a more "scientific" origin, and hence had to be given a different weakness. So they went with the yellow light thing.

Has there ever been any official published rules for any color variation of Green Lantern? Or is it something I just have to use as an rpg character in a different dimension or|and time from that which Green Lantern exists in?
