A very fun book

I just finished a book called "Insultingly Stupid Movie Physics"- a total blast! All the dumb stuff you thought only you and possibly your buddies noticed exposed for all the world to see.

Formuale included!

I bring it up because every once in a while, I like to make supers or sci-fi PCs who are more "realistic" than is typical...like a "brick" I designed for Champions some years ago who had an enormous appetite- she ate her body weight daily, and was occasionally so cash strapped that she did mercenary work for food.

This guy points out all those little details you'd want to take into account for this kind of PC design.

And even if you don't want to design PCs this way, the book is still a fun read.

Not really- I know there is a Media forum, but I posted it here because so much of its contents could be directly applied to gaming is within the sci-fi/supers genres of RPGs.

Non system specific SF/supers gaming goes in the general forum. HERO, Truth & Justice, Traveller, Thousand Suns, what have you.

This forum is about D20/OGL games. So unless its somehow specific to d20 modern/future, spycraft, Traveller D20... yeah, wrong forum.

Mutants and Masterminds is a D20 Supers game that can benefit from this

Ditto D20 Modern/Urban Arcana/Dark*Matter, Spycraft, Dragonstar, Dragonmech, Fading Suns D20, Trinity D20, SAS D20, Star Wars D20, Prime Directive D20, Traveller D20, Gamma World, Armageddon 2089...

I so hope that her body was efficient at converting the food she eat to nutrients cause if it wasn't, I'd hate to go into a bathroom after her...

She was quite efficient. :)

Unfortunately, due to her alien metabolism, she was allergic to certain foodstuffs. Unlike Bren in the "Foreigner" novels, she wasn't risking death by eating them, but instead had a gastric distress that would be much what you were hinting at. :uhoh:
