First, if you ever find yourself at Game Towne in San Diego, do not pay with a check. Use a check card, use a credit card, pay with cash, but don't pay with a check. It can take the owner two months to deposit it. That could cause problems.

Back in June I bought a CD from my supervisor at my campus job. He has his own group, and I wanted to hear how he was. He's pretty good.

Flash forward to late November, and this man has changed jobs, creating an opening that I might just be qualified for, since he was teaching me all the things he did. Well, I discover that not only was my application not being considered for the position, and not only did I end up without a job, but also the guy waited until just the right day to cash the $12 check, causing me to go down to -$1.12, which cost me $25 in overdraft charges. If he'd cashed it any time in the five months prior, I would've been fine. If he'd waited another day, I would've been fine.

I feel your pain, dude, but I am so not in a position to help.
