Then you have a campaign hook to determine why you can see in the dark, why you can heal with a touch, why you can read, understand, and speak Celestial, and why you can make Light, appear from nothing.

As I alluded to, then the player comes up with a different backstory for how they discovered their nature. Or as Scribe suggested, you have their journey of self discovery be a part of the campaign.

How else are we going to find out what a 40 year-old Aasimar with the flu looks like?

This is actually the 15th thread on the same general subject in one month and one day - an average of one new aasimar thread every other day. At this rate, esteban1997 should be at around aasimar thread #183 on January 15, 2022, the anniversary of his first aasimar thread. And by then, we'll no doubt have answered the burning questions of whether aasimars can be either left-handed or right-handed, how often they need to trim their toenails, and whether or not they develop acne during their teen years.
