True20 sounds interesting. Can you tell me some of the finer points of the system that drew you to it? I've never played it, but am interested.

Nah, that's the category. It sort of runs on into the thread title.
Oooohhh... I get it.

(Hadn't looked into the General Forum to see what it looked like out there. :o )

My bad. ;) I don't post here very often anymore. (the predominence of my first 600 posts were probably mad in 2002-03, but that may pick up as I'm thinking about running a 4e campaign  )

The OP kept saying "to me" this and "to me" that. His post was cast entirely in terms of personal preference.

You guys act like it's an "edition war" to even express a negative opinion of 4E. So a bunch of 4E people come in and crap in this guy's thread and bluster about edition wars, in a vaguely threatening way like you're going to report him. I don't even like this dude's game of choice (True20) but I find it appalling.

So he doesn't like what you like. Deal with it, please. This mob mentality is getting old.

This is standard operating procedure around these parts ever since 4E was announced, sad but true. The worst part is they usually get away with it too.

I'm going to be closing this. Here are some advisory comments.

If the OP had said, "I'm going to be running a True20 campaign that will be like this..." that would be all right.

If the OP had said, "I'm going to be running a Charmed campaign with 4E," that would be all right.

Please be nice to your moderators/admins. Having to sort through a thread like this that may have survived without the "4E is not DND to me," comment is wearing thin.
