I have the 3.5 updated Splat book Compilation: Tome and Blood, Masters of the Wild, etc..

Mainly for the Deepwood Sniper

My current group is primarily Druid and Ranger. My one Arcansits is using the Elements of Magic... no real reason for the Complete Arcane!

They're from the Complete Arcane, which you should have, considering some of the PrCs you list. Unless some of the list comes from Tome and Blood.

I was under the impression you didn't need the book if you purchased an e-tools data set

Prism.. yes and no.

E-Tools does a great job of making character generation relativley glitch free and keeps the final character honest to the rules.... once the concept is established.

However, not all data sets come with the book in help file format, altho I hear the Monkey's are working on fixing that.

Its much easier to have players flipping through a real book to get character ideas.

Most of the data sets I have purchased are to supplement the hard copy I already own. The cost is, IMHO, well worth not having to check on a couple of my players math skills

Hmm... trying not to turn this into a full-blown add for E-Tools..

That's not the case. Just look at Table 4-2 Skills in the PHB, and look at the Spell Descriptions.
The reason behind my question is indeed the above mentioned Table, which I was to expand with the Splat Book classes.

Follow-up question:

What would be the COMPLETELY INOFFICIAL BUT USEFUL ABBREVIATIONS for the not-really core classes from the Miniatures Handbook [Healer + Marshal], the Complete Warrior [Hexblade + Samurai + Swashbuckler, Samurai], the Complete Divine [Favored Soul + Shugenja + Spirit Shaman], the Complete Adventurer [Ninja + Scout + Spellthief], and the Complete Arcane [Warlock + Warmage + Wu Jen]?
