Not sure if this one has been done before...

Vote for the ability score which is, in your opinion, the weakest of the 6 ability scores.

Every day, there will be one less one to choose from ;)

Is this in the core D&D kind of context, or what?

If so, I guess Charisma's the first casualty, obviously. Then it just comes down to favourite classes (and races to some extent, perhaps).

I guess you can take it whatever way you want. Whichever ability score which you consider to be the least powerful, you vote for.

I think Charisma based characters can be very interesting, but if I'm not going out of my way to do that build, then push comes to shove Charisma is one to go.

I really didn't want to vote Charisma, as I often play PCs with at least a decent CHA, but weak it is. Although all three of the "Mental" stats suffer from the same problem, Charisma can be bypassed completely through role-play depending on the ability of the Player (IMO, of course).

It shouldn't be that way, although I don't see any way past it. Sorry, Charisma... you're first. *starts staring down Wisdom and Intelligence* grrrr.... ;)

Charisma is in no way the weakest stat in D&D, core or otherwise. There are far too many Charisma centered power builds for that to be the case. If it weren't for the hit point boost, I would probably say that Constitution is the weakest. How often do you see that as the core stat for a class ability or feat? Sure, if you're playing certain atypical PC races it sets your supernatural ability DCs, but that's about it. Behind constitution, I would probably have to go with Charisma and then Strength as being the weakest stat. Sure, it's great to have a high Strength and certainly there are many powerful things to do with a high Strength, but most classes don't lose much for having a low Strength score.

Edit: Thinking about it, my argument makes no sense. Far more classes are able to dump Charisma that any other stat. But I think the designers have done a good job of making builds based on pretty much any stat viable choices if done correctly.

Unless you're playing a paladin, sorcerer, bard, or a cleric that's focused on turning/rebuking undead, Charisma is negligible, unless your DM tends to run RP-centric games. For a dungeon crawl, unless you're playing one of the aforementioned classes, it's completely worthless.

Charisma, of course. Its only contribution across the board is to the social skills. I'll probably vote CHA < INT < WIS < STR < CON < DEX.

To the people who voted for DEX, I'd really like to know the reasoning behind it. Dexterity is by far the most powerful stat: to-hit bonus for thrown and ranged weapons, bonus to AC, bonus to Reflex Save, and a bonus to the "sneaky" skills (arguably the most useful), plus Ride. That's disregarding Weapon Finesse, just looking at the stats.

When I was a teenager and the internet was my babysitter, my friends and I discovered EZboards and made dozens of them into our personal, short-lived sandboxes. We wasted time making obnoxious, graphic-intensive .sigs, leaving table code open and crashing boards, and most of all, running some of the dumbest polls known to man. Who is your favorite Megaman character? What's your favorite fast food? Which poster is the sexiest?

This has nothing to do with your question, I just want you to know where I'm coming from when I say this poll is ridiculous.
