About Chairman Kaga

It sure sucks to lose one of our own.

Sigh...

But the bright side is, it underscores how strong of a community we are. Look at the outpouring of support for the Chairman's wife. Look at how many of us drank one for James and one for Bjorn.

Strong ties, folks.

Blessed be to all.

It's funny... things never get easier either. This is at least the fourth "online" friend that I have "lost" in the recent years, the three previous I also knew in person from various cross-North America meetings. It really hits you hard when you are a close knit, caring community like us. I'm man enough to admit that reading through the sticky announcement and posting that I had some tears in my eye and also went to my new wife and just gave her a hug and told her what had happened. She said "I hope one day I don't have to go to ENWorld and write something like that." Kaga's wife was pretty brave to do that I think. I guess I'm blubbering right now, I'd normally try and say it's the rye and coke I made to toast Kaga, but I really know that it's the shock of our loss. It's good to be able to talk about it like this though, it's how the healing begins.
