People seem to still be liking it, but I wasn't that impressed with it. It was a well done book though just the ideas in it are not ones I perfer in my fantasy game.

While I'm sad to say I haven't gotten a chance to play it yet, but I'm still intruiged by the setting. Several months later the elements I liked after first reading the book still have appeal and I still want to play it it (Despite the fact I live in a gaming wasteland outside of Utica, New York). It currently ranks as one of my top three favorite D&D settings, and it likely will for quite some time.

Why is the only pro-Eberron choice, "All Eberron, All the Time"? Shouldn't there be a "Eberron is great, though I also play in other settings?"

I don't remember waiting a long time for it. They announced it, then 6 months later it was out. Not exactly the build up of "The Phantom Menace".

I like it alright, but don't play it much. You have more 'hate' options than 'like' options in your poll. It seems unfair!

What do you mean?

choice one Only world i play in. ( pro eberron)

#2 I can take it or leave it ( it means you play it but play in oter worlds)

#3 not worth the wait ( means you do not like it)

#4 i it ( meaning you have not played it)

#5 what is the thing called eberron ( meaning you have been in a coma for about a year)

So lets add this up

1 pro eberron, 1 you play in it, 1 you do not like it 1 you have not played.

So unless i am a gully dwarf, i belive Bupu have given you an even amount of choices. right or wrong?

Ditto. I don't understand why people don't think out their choices better. How many times have I been unable to find a choice that fits me! They so often seem to express the poster's opinion, not a true, unbiased poll.

Personally, I definitely like the setting, but I wouldn't give up the 3E Realms either.

There's a difference between "Eberron rocks, and all other campaign worlds suck" (as in "the only world") or wether I can "take it or leave it"/"I play in it" (as in "it doesn't damage my brain").

I voted #2, although I really love that setting. But it ain't the only good campaign, not by a far shot. So I'd go for option #1.5, if there was such a thing...

(Hey, I didn't call you "gully dwarf", although you asked for it ;) )

Yeah, "take it or leave it" has a mildly negative, or at best neutral, connotation to most people. It most assuredly is not the same as "I love Eberron, but I still play in other worlds as well."

Which, for the record, is where I stand. I think it's one of the best settings ever published... But only "one of." No way I'm giving up the others, no matter how good Eberron is.

So does #3 mean that you have PLAYED it and don't like it? The people who have been in a coma should choose number four according your above explanation. Even the people who ONLY play in Eberron currently might not be enjoying it so much, or think there are better settings.

I have NOT played in the setting, but really like it so far from reading the two hardcover books. The poll as you have written is is sure to have "I have not played it" as a majority response, and what does that really tell you about peoples perceptions of the setting?
