About Walmart.com and 3.5

I preordered the 3.5 books awhile back from Walmart (I have no game store here!!! I don't have guilt!!!!), and today I found Walmart crediting my money back.

Ummmm... thanks Walmart. Anyone else get credited back yet?

It looks like the item is still available to order even right now.

I had imagined that the discount would be good until they sold out their first stock of books. (I suppose that could have happened already!) But thats just speculation.

Generally speaking, your credit card shouldn't be charged for an online purchase of a physical item (like a book, and unlike, say, a plane ticket) until it ships. If you had already been charged, it was probably an error on Wal-Mart's part, and they'll charge you again when they ship your books.

Mine still says processing and I can see nothing on the site about refunding my money.

They haven't withdrawn any money from me and I still show an arrival date etc., they're supposed to do the withdraw when the items ship. Perhaps the computer took your money before it was supposed to and they caught it an credited it back to you. I would expect they'll withdraw it again when the items actually ship.

You could always call them and ask.

Well, my card hasn't been refunded, but it hasn't been charged yet, either. Which is about the norm; most places don't charge until it ships.
