We've got the CausticSoul, Plaguesoul, VoidSoul and Cindersoul. Four manifestations, a few feats, and three PPs.

The interesting thing that first jumped out at me, from the first paragraphs, is that the Abyssal Genasi isn't just a corrupted Genasi, but a curse that manifests within a small, small percentage of births due to a flaw within the race itself.

I'm not really sure what the Voidsoul are supposed to be corrupted from. Which element they corrupt, I mean. Also their manifestation power doesn't seem to be all that useful, except in terms of getting out of a serious pinch.

The other racial powers I find particularly cool. And also notice that the CausticSoul power gives a Stat +3, instead of say a stat +2.

Anyone else as wowed by the Cindersoul's encounter racial?

Turn all the dice results of any one damage roll to 1? That takes a nice chunk off any shot.

The Quasielemental Plane of Vacuum would seem to agree with that by being an older implementation of a similar concept - Plane between the Elemental Plane of Air and the Negative Energy Plane.

Which may explain a lack of a corruption of Stormsoul, since the Quasielemental Plane of Lightning was the plane between the EPoA and the Positive Energy Plane. Maybe they just couldn't think of anything.

I think the Voidsoul is pretty nifty and evocative. And that PP encounter attack is just a plain creepy thing to be able to do.

I'm honestly liking this trend towards frequent, short, focused articles. A few cool new character options every week sounds pretty great!

I'm really impressed by the both the content and the timing.

I'm running a version of Paizo's Savage Tide set in the 4E Forgotten Realms, starting in Akanul. My (renamed) version of Vanthus is a genasi (with a different name) and I've been wondering how about o reflect his corruption by the Abyss... so this article is about to see immediate use!

Also Voidsoul Genasi has finally out-emoed the Shadar-Kai. Indeed, I mentioned the race to a friend, and his response was:

"sounds so emo that it just inverted itself and became a Care Bear. "Hi, I'm Voidy Bear! I don't really exist, but that's fine with me, heheheee!""

Hmm. I want to make a Voidsoul Genasi that uses his racial power as often as he can, convinced that somewhere in the nothingness is the answer to some great mystery and that every time he temporarily becomes one with nothingness, he comes just a little bit closer to enlightenment.
