... and dropping the "lands" isn't going to help because then you get a jarring end rhyme:

The Warlord
of The Accord
got bored
so took his sword
and slew a horde.

You get the picture. It's not pretty.

The name stinks worse than just about anything I've ever heard for a campaign setting... It's beyond lame, so why didn't they catch it before announcing it? Something as important as the name of the product seems like something you shouldn't make this bad and uninspired.

In other words, I hate it. Really. :D

Maybe AEG should stick with their "one word" theme...

Honestly, I find the name jarring. Accordlands sounds very artificial, as if it was something created by a panel of diplomats.

I suspect the Warlord of the Accordion would have to face the Barbarian of the Bagpipes, the Druid of the Drums, the Fighter of the Fife, the Paladin of the Piano, the Cleric of the Clarinet, and the Sorceror of the Scales. Or even the Wizard of the Wagnerian Operas.:D

Ah-Hah! You forgot the Rogue of the Recorder! Don't even get me started on the PrC's....

I thought of an accordian for some reason. "Warlord of the Accordians!" Wait until he gets smacked by the Barbarian of the Bagpipes!

All hail Goddess Judy Tenuta! (:

When I first saw the name, I thought to myself "Warlords of the Acornlands?" before I reread it. Still, even looking at the name now, I keep seeing little squirrels in armor, wielding tiny swords, battling each other for who controls the precious acorns.

Who wants to start a PbP game of that over at Nutkinland? :D

I was one of the people who first thought of the Honda Accord..."Quick men!!! We're being raided by the Army of the GMC! We must get an alliance with Preludelund or it'll be our DOOM!"

Not necessarilly a wholy bad name, but not a terribly great name either. I like the idea that someone came up with for "Warlords of the Covenant". That has a nice ring to it.

I remember when Alderac first announced the RPG for the setting on the message boards for the CCG, we all began to speculate about what the setting would be called. I also remember how we all simultaneously groaned at the name they chose. While it's descriptive of the setting, it's really a rather lackluster name. Although, my guess is that they were trying to keep the two games connected, unlike Feng Shui RPG and Shadowfist CCG which use the same world, but sound unrelated. Ah well, I'm going to be gaming in the Accordlands either way.
