Action Point question

I've only run one D20 modern mini-campaign (about 7 sessions worth) but during one game one of the regular's at the FLGS where the game was run told me that when a character levels they lose any un-used AP's instead replacing them with the new one's generated at that new level.

I've looked through the D20 Modern rulebook and I can't find anything to support that comment. Have I missed something?

In d20 Modern, unused points are not lost but accumulate. This is somewhat unclear in the rules but was clarified in the FAQ.

For what it's worth, in Eberron action points do not roll over but refresh with each new level. Unused points are lost.

Ah, that would explain it. The guy in question runs an Eberron game. Thanks for the quick reply.
