Action points

There is restriction that you can use only one action point per encounter. What if power give you an action point? Like Archer's Glory (Battlefield Archer paragon path). It's state you gain 1 action point you need to use before the end of your next turn.

RAW you can only use one. I think that's actually the right way to go as action points can become really really powerful.

You can only use one unless explicitly granted otherwise. There's an epic destiny that allows multiple useage in martial power.

Specific beats General..

So normally it wouldn't be possible, but the power gives you an AP, that you must use.. Than the Power overwrites the General rule..

So you can use multiple AP, if an power tells you to..

So now you make a little confusion here. I don't know if your right. I think that RAW is still here and you can't use more AP than one 1 encounter, even with this power.

So you can use multiple AP, if an power tells you to..
But this power doesn't tell you to use multiple AP.
It just gives you another one that you can only use until the end of your next turn.
So I'd say the 1 AP/encounter limit still aplies.

Anyway, using an AP every encounter is always better than using one every two encounters.

Nonsense. The term "must" does not mean that you ultimately have to regardless of any other conditions. It just means under reasonable circumstances you are required to or suffer a penalty. The implicit penalty in this case being unable to use the AP at all.

To put it another way, if the character were to die before they used this AP, the "must" clause would not resurrect them. I "must" get to work on time, but this does not grant me time travel abilities when I am running late.

I think I agree with this. You're gaining an action point to use before the end of your next turn. There's nothing explicitly saying that it is in addition to any normal action point usages for the encounter. So you retain your normal action points and get one for free with a time restriction.

However... it's an encounter power. With wise targeting, it could be used every encounter. What happens to your normal action points? They never get used and then they're lost after an extended rest. Seems like a bit of a waste. However, it's quite powerful if you're using two action points every encounter.

Tough one.

To which I say: Nonsense!
It's completely obvious to me that the AP granted by the power can be used in addition to the AP normally allowed for an encounter.

The group I play with doesn't worry about this sort of thing. We hand out Action Points freely. Made the DM laugh hard? Get an Action Point. Did something incredibly cool? Get an Action Point. We've houseruled that you can use multiple Action Points in an encounter, just not multiples in a round. Rules are fun, but fun is fun too.
