Actor Heath Ledger dead

What do you mean? Cesar Romero (TV series) lived a ways past the series, and Jack Nicholson is alive and well.

Jack Nicholson broke his leg while filming the role in the 80s Batman movie, and not as a result of a stunt but an off-camera stage accident. Romero had a series of mishaps while he played the role in the series. This would be the first time someone has DIED that was playing the part. But when enough people involved in the role have enough accidents it tends to say bad luck role to me.

I hate it when someone this young and talented dies. Even more so when it appears that they've been a sensible, well-grounded person and it is seemingly random.
Agree wholeheartedly.

Bitter and inappropriate as it may seem, I'm reminded of a Dennis Leary bit from one of his CD's. Where pretty much the musicians he liked died of drugs, but the ones he hated kept going. One particularly line was you could put Motley Crue in a room filled with a ton of cocaine, and they'd come out two hours later saying "yeah man, rock on!"

"Ah crap, they're still alive... we'll probably wind up with a double album out of this"

Man, sleeping pills are so dangerous, yet I think few people appreciate just how much.

I had insomnia so bad in the past I've mixed sleeping pills and alcohol so I could go under. I know that's stupid dangerous and I'm not recommending it. But when you've have a cumulative three or four hours of sleep in four days, need to work the next day and are a bit mad from all of it… well, bad ideas seem like good ones.

My sympathies for his family and friends.

Some reports indicate that the sleeping pills in question are notorious for their side effects, and he was also apparently suffering from a bout of pneumonia. So respiratory failure is possible, since sleeping pills & respiratory problems do not mix.
