Add Prestigue Classes to PcGen

Drawmack

First Post
I am using PcGen to track my characters. I want to Apply the Divine Oracle prestigue class from Defenders of the Faith to my character. Since this is not OGC, I will have to enter the prestigue class myself. My question is, does anyone know of a tutorial I can get on this aspect of pcgen or would anyone be willing to help out with this?

You'd have more luck going to our List File Help group and asking there. Also, as you noted, its not OGC. Therefore, we ask that when you ask for specifics on how to do something, you do it generically. In other words, don't identify the book/class/feat/etc, just ask about the mechanics.

Incidentally, the way I initially learned how to do *.lst files was to read through the existing files. You'll find that many classes, feats, abilities, etc, have similarities with existing items. Look at the similar item to see how it was implemented.

Absolutely. I had two criteria for my last round of CMP purchases: raw amount of data (which finally got me to purchase the Spell Compendium list), and quirky mechanics that I wanted to see an example for.

For the Divine Oracle (with which I'm unfamiliar), I'd recommend looking at the Arcane Trickster and/or Thaumaturge from the SRD.

Why don't you document this then? Don't get me wrong I'm off to read them now.
