Adding fixed cost abilities to weapons

Can you add multiple of the same fixed cost ability to the same weapon? Spellblade from Player's Guide to Faerun allows the wielder to be immune to one spell and on his next turn can direct it to a new target as a free action for a fixed 6,000gp. Can it be added multiple times for different spells? Please note the rule that disallows this if it can't.

I don't have any rules quotes off hand, but considering you could cast spell immunity on the same target multiple times to provide a wide range of spell protection I think it would be feasible.

Now when talking more common sense, if the sword works just as you described that is ridiculously cheap for 6k....even if it couldn't stack.

If it's a +1 enhancement, the GM may rule that the second upgrade goes to +2 cost, then +3, +4, +5... You get the drift. I probably would handle it that way. 6,000 GP seems terribly cheap, I agree. Not all spell immunities are equal.

I found the weapon in my 3e Faerun Player's Guide. I don't know if the costs for creating magic items changed between 3 and 3.5, so I can't offer a ton of insight, but consult your DMG for information on properly costing magic items. I think my suggestion is probably the way it's supposed to go, assuming you can have spellblade on a weapon more than once.

We ended up only allowing one Spellblade per weapon head. When you get to upper levels, adding multiple spellblades for 6k is incredibly easy and unbalancing.
