Right?! I want to know so badly what normal procrastination feels like. Does it feel good, is it like, fun to put off tasks?
No, it's like living in fear but ignoring that the fear is there so you can pretend to have a good time.
Edit: Oh sorry, you said "normal" procrastination 😅
Yeah, probably?

Btw very happy that you had such a positive reaction to the Adderall. It's what's worked best for me but everyone's different. (actually I'm trying Jornay PM right now which is a Ritalin type, but I don't feel like it's helping me like the Adderall could, probably gonna switch back. I've tried out most of the meds now to try to find works best for me.. was diagnosed at 31, it's been like 8yrs now)

It also wound up lasting close to 8 hours instead of the 4-6 it's supposed to which was just NUTTY.

Once I was able to focus and trigger focus I hyperfocused and just kept going once it ran out. I felt amazing.

Is it adderall XR or the regular short-term tablets? XR, the one with the little balls in a capsule, is supposed to last 8hrs afaik.
The short-term stuff (white tablets that you could break in half).. I was on it for a year or three 'til one doc recommended the XR, but I think it lasted like 4-5hrs, yeah. Maybe you metabolize slowly so it was hanging around in your system for a while.
The XR stuff (extended release) also takes a little longer to kick in, like 2hrs. IIRC the short-term tablets kicked in quicker.

Traditional formula. 4-6 hours short term.

I was considering XR but the price tag on GoodRX was so high....

I really wouldn't describe it that way, Paul  But I suppose everyone has different experiences. It certainly doesn't hurt to caution someone about a controlled substance ofc, but saying it's the manic side of manic depression is ... a pretty extreme take. Unless you're talking about it being abused by neurotypical folk for cramming purposes?

I’m talking about the description of writing 2000 words and cleaning the house. But it’s only a problem if you are doing that every day.

I have someone in my life with M/D tendencies and things like compulsive cleaning are a sure sign of trouble.
