Adjusting the code box

I'm wondering if it is possible to adjust the box created by the
Code:
tag so that scrolling is minimized? I think it would be best if it could adjust its size just like the quote and sblock boxes. Is it possible to do that?

This sort of defeats of the purpose of the 'code' tag I believe. The code tag is mainly so people can post snippets of code and preserve the original formatting without worrying about the boards auto-formatting it for you.

If you really want to use the 'code' tag you should be able to enter hard returns to force the word wrap.

I'm not looking for formatting the content of the code box. I'd like the code box adjust itself to the window size similar to the Quote box, so that you don't have to scroll as much. I can sort of understand the horizontal limitation, to prevent the code box to break the forum layout (but if it is possible to dynamically set that, I'd like to see that as well). The vertical scrolling though could easily be removed in favor of a setup similar to the quote box.
